At a time when Mozambique is advancing its National Climate Finance Strategy 2025–2034 and strengthening its climate risk management framework, it is essential to promote a structured debate on the regulatory, financial and strategic implications of this agenda.

GDA Advogados, in partnership with Systemic Sphere, is organising an event on 12 March dedicated to climate finance mobilisation and the integration of climate risks into risk management systems, with a particular focus on the financial sector.

The event will feature Jadwiga Massinga, from the National Directorate for Environment and Climate Change (MAAP), who will address the legal reforms aimed at mobilising and effectively managing climate finance in Mozambique.

The first roundtable will be opened by Catarina Pinto Correia, Co-Head of VdA’s Environment & Climate Change Practice, and moderated by Guilherme Daniel, Managing Partner of GDA Advogados, bringing together representatives from public institutions and the financial sector to discuss instruments and actions to strengthen access to climate finance.

In a context of increasing exposure to both physical and transition risks, the event will bring together key stakeholders from the financial and insurance sectors for a strategic discussion on the challenges and opportunities of climate finance in Mozambique.
